An automotive parts manufacturing company is actively seeking a Production Assistant Manager to join their facility near Madison, AL. Responsibilities of Production Assistant ManagerOversee production teams including schedule, staffing, production goals, etcEnsure the products are meeting company standard qualityMaintain clean and safe workplaceAnalyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvementsEnsure adherence to rules and workplace policiesExamine processes and design plans to effectively use available resourcesLead/support plans to improve quality systems and facility structuresComplete regulatory compliance related documentation & proceduresDirect in relation to waste elimination such as plant layout, labor utilization, quality, PPM’s, etc.Build and maintain a professional relationship with team member for effective communicationFollow all OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA standards for optimal operations for the facilityPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications of Production Assistant Manager 3-4 years of experience as production supervisor in the automotive parts production operations 8+ years of experience in automotive parts manufacturing settingAssociate’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field or equivalent experienceStrong leadership skills in team environment and skills to bring positive atmosphere to the team Ability to be flexible to work effectively with wide variety of people and to work responsibly and effectively in a multicultural environmentExcellent communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task and perform duties time efficientlyTeam-worker, Detail-oriented, Responsible, Punctual, Self-motivatedProficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially ExcelWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
