We believe that our people are what makes us great and strive to offer our employees opportunities for advancement.Production ManagerOverviewWe're looking for a proactive and results-driven Production Manager to lead daily operations, ensure on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes. This role is central to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while fostering a strong, motivated team on the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, monitor, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demandEnsure finished goods and work-in-progress inventory levels meet established targetsDrive 100% on-time delivery performance to customersOversee accurate and timely production reporting, including output, scrap, and downtime analysis with root cause identificationMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and system integrityPartner with Process Engineers to implement and sustain pull/Kanban systems across all work cellsLeverage production systems and tools to improve scheduling efficiency and data accuracyEnsure compliance with internal procedures, IATF 16949 standards, and all health & safety regulationsLead and coordinate all assigned resources to meet production goals and schedulesProactively identify and resolve schedule deviations; escalate when necessaryCollaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure all products meet approved "first-off" standards and optimize process capabilityProvide strong leadership on the shop floor to promote productivity, engagement, safety, and high housekeeping standardsMonitor and improve production efficiency and scrap reduction; stop production when quality issues ariseWork closely with Human Resources on hiring, training, and performance management of team membersEnforce best practices in Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, and Production ControlIdentify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective maintenance for equipment and toolingAnalyze production performance and prepare reports on efficiency and productivityParticipate in problem-solving initiatives related to quality and process improvementsRecommend and support facility layout improvementsContribute to budgeting and operational planning (AOP)Track team performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement in productivity, material usage, and customer satisfactionPerform other related duties as requiredQualificationsOne of the following:2+ years of experience as a Production Scheduler2+ years of experience in Production SupervisionEngineering degree5+ years of experience in injection molding, plastic parts painting, and/or assembly processesSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesHands-on experience with injection molding operationsSolid understanding of production processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodsProficiency in Microsoft Office and production-related systemsKnowledge of inventory control, part numbering, and manufacturing proceduresFamiliarity with Quality and Environmental Management Systems relevant to the roleFamiliarity with forms, labels and tags governing job functionWe thank all candidates for their interest, however only those who qualify for an interview will be contacted. #joinmitchellplastics
