Senior Tax Associate

If so, you may be a great fit for our Raleigh Tax team.We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and serving as a trusted resource for both clients and team members. This role will serve as a tax return signer and is ideal for a collaborative professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented approach. Candidates with an active CPA or EA designation are encouraged to apply.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport tax team on client matters, including:Prepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, which could include Individual, Business, Estate and Gift Tax returnsAssist in the preparation of 1099s and other year-end related benefits calculationsPrepare and review quarterly tax projectionsSupport tax team with coordination of document needsAnswer client questions and respond to client inquiries, providing superior service and ensure successful resolution of any client needOther tasks as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required. (Finance or Accounting majors preferred)Proficiency in UltraTax tax preparation software strongly preferred, 3-5 years of work experience in financial industry, tax and/or related fieldStrong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills.Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and clientsPreferred QualificationsCPA or EA candidate preferredSurePrep, UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS and tax research experience a plusSkills & CompetenciesDemonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills.Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment.Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures.Demonstrate the Cerity Partners culture.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Why Cerity PartnersOur people drive our success by working together to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
