Senior Tax Accountant
Human Accounting Partners is Hiring! Immediate Opening for a Part-Time/Full-Time CPA or EA!!The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and managing a range of small business accounts, quarterly financials, preparing estimates, and reviewing tax returns along with conducting client meetings. We are looking for someone who is proactive, thoughtful, both an independent worker and team player, and willing to help lead while supporting an established team in a fast-paced environment - especially during tax season. The expectation is that this position will start off part-time, with full-time hours expected during tax season (January - April), but can build to full-time hours outside of tax-season over time.Responsibilities:-Review small business clients' accounts and deliverables-Handle a small number of monthly accounting clients, opportunity to build to a full load if desired-Prepare Quarterly Estimated Tax Calculations-Hold client meetings for tax planning, tax liability reduction strategies, delivering estimated tax calculations and tax returns-Review small business tax returns during tax season, with the opportunity to prepare and review a number of returns on extension-Answer in house questions to support our team with client communicationsQualifications:-CPA or EA Designation, required-Must have integrity, value honesty and kindness, and have a growth mindset as these are essential traits to fitting in with our team-4+ years of experience working at an accounting/tax firm in a Tax Preparer or Reviewer role-Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial-Must be detail-oriented, conscientious and thorough-Use of ProSeries, Xero, and Gusto is preferred, but the desire to learn and become a pro with the softwares we use is a mustPay Range:$45-48 / hr (4+ years experience)Expertise in business tax returns and accounting, along with personal tax return knowledge, working with teams that share work, and client relations are imperative. If you are solution focused, have a positive attitude, and thrive when working with a team, we would love to talk.Hours Expectations:The opportunity offers a minimum of 18 hours per week to start, a preference for 40 hours during tax season, with the opportunity for more, and the ability to work from home beyond the initial training period.
