RN Specialist Cardiac Testing

We strive for patient-centered care and comfort, and we are committed to serving the community and treating our patients as family.As an RN Specialist, you will be responsible for providing or assisting with cardiac procedures such as stress testing, arrhythmia evaluation, and preparation and follow-up care to aid the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This role supports Cleveland Clinic's mission and vision by providing high-quality, patient-centered care that improves the health and well-being of people with heart conditions.A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with on-call requirements on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Performs regular exercise testing, which includes graded maximal stress testing with Nuclear Imaging, cardiopulmonary stress testing, and stress echocardiography.Performs pharmacologic stress testing with nuclear imaging or echocardiography.Performs holter monitor procedures, scans data and generates a report for further evaluation by the physician.Prepares and monitors patient during transesophogeal echocardiogram.Performs tilt table exams.Prepares and educates patients, families, and employees about procedures to be administered.Maintains and updates patient records.Maintains equipment in proper working condition.Assists with quality improvement reviews, projects and initiatives.Participates in community outreach events sponsored by AGMC/HVC.Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.Remains flexible to work in and cross train between other areas in the Heart and Vascular Center.Supports and participates in community wellness programs.Serves as preceptor for university students in nursing and/or other health sciences.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursingCurrent state licensure in Ohio as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossThree to five years nursing experience in critical care or cardiologyPhysical Requirements:Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as requiredPay RangeMinimum Annual Salary: $73,840.00Maximum Annual Salary: $115,648.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
