Hiring: Senior Data & Operations Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA | On-siteSalary: $200,000 – $280,000/yearExperience: 5+ yearsRelocation: Candidates open to relocation are welcomeWe are building a small, senior-only engineering team for one of our clients and are looking for a founding Data & Operations Engineer to help define the core data systems and workflows that power the internal architecture.What you'll do:• Build scalable data architectures and pipelines supporting product analytics, FinOps, and Fraud/AML.• Use Terraform, dbt, SQL, and AWS to build reliable and secure infrastructure.• Design data models and ETL/ELT workflows with strong data lineage and governance.• Implement secure least-access patterns for data and applications.• Work with Postgres, Redis, AWS, and event-driven architectures.• Establish engineering standards and document best practices.• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and operators in a fast-moving FinTech environment./Requirements:• 5+ years building and shipping data pipelines and platforms.• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, dbt, and SQL.• Experience building scalable data architectures in a FinTech environment.• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, or event-driven systems.• Backend experience with AWS, Postgres, Redis, or similar technologies.• Strong written and verbal technical communication.• Experience in banking, payments, credit cards, crypto, remittances, or lending startups.Bonus experience:• Global payments, ledgering, or user-facing FinTech applications.• Data visualization and storytelling.• Full-stack applications or machine learning.
