About the role We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our team in Charlotte for a 12-month contract role with potential to convert to full-time hire. You'll own the complete lifecycle of native Android applications—from concept through release—working closely with product and design teams to deliver high-quality apps for phones and tablets. What you'll do Design and build native Android applications using Kotlin and Android Studio , ensuring performance and quality across devices Participate in the full app lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to app stores Collaborate with product and design teams to define features, create prototypes, and provide accurate estimates Identify potential problems, resolve bottlenecks, and fix bugs prior to release, with a focus on code quality and maintainability Implement and maintain test automation practices, including unit testing and continuous integration pipelines Write and maintain clear documentation for features in development and drive best practices for continuous improvement Work with REST services , Web Services , biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs to build robust feature sets What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience 5–7 years of professional experience in native Android development Expertise with Android Studio , Kotlin , and Core Java ; proficiency with REST APIs and Web Services Strong command of Git and Bitbucket for code versioning and collaboration Knowledge of C-based libraries and familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and Camera APIs Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment with strong communication and troubleshooting skills Nice to have Experience with continuous integration tools and advanced unit testing frameworks Familiarity with Jetpack libraries or other modern Android architecture patterns Track record of mentoring junior developers or leading architectural decisions #J-18808-Ljbffr
