Medical Assistant (Overnight) - Adolescent Mental Health Program
Growth Centers of America Position Overview The Overnight Medical Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the health, safety, and overnight medical needs of adolescents within our residential treatment program. This position works closely with nurses, therapists, psychiatrists, educators, and residential staff to help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic overnight environment. What You'll Do Medical Support & Client Care Take and record vital signs, complete drug screenings, and document medical updatesAdminister medications according to physician orders and facility protocolsMonitor clients throughout the overnight shift for behavioral, emotional, or medical concernsProvide one-on-one supervision for clients with elevated safety, behavioral, or medical needsSupport overnight client routines while maintaining professionalism and therapeutic boundariesAssist with coordinating urgent medical concerns and communicating updates to treatment staffRespond appropriately during medical or behavioral emergencies following company protocols Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate medical records, shift logs, incident reports, and overnight documentationEnsure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and facility standardsFollow all medication administration, infection control, and safety proceduresSupport compliance with licensing, accreditation, and program requirementsMaintain organization and cleanliness within medical and client care areas Team Collaboration & Therapeutic Environment Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, behavioral staff, and overnight leadershipParticipate in shift handoffs, trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional developmentContribute positively to the overall therapeutic and residential environmentHelp maintain a calm, structured, safe, and supportive overnight setting for adolescentsMaintain flexibility and composure in fast-paced or high-stress situations Who You Are You are compassionate, patient, and passionate about supporting adolescents through challenging moments in their lives.
