Software Engineer Internship
We build large-scale solar and battery storage systems across California — and we need a sharp software intern to help us push the tech forward. You won't be fetching coffee. You'll be shipping code, training models, and seeing your work deployed on live energy systems.
What You'll Build
ML & Optimization: Train and tune models for solar generation forecasting, battery dispatch optimization, and anomaly detection on live sensor data.
Python Integration: Write backend scripts and APIs that connect inverters, battery systems, and SCADA platforms into a unified data pipeline.
UI/UX Development: Design and build web dashboards so engineers and clients can monitor system performance in real time — clean, functional, and fast.
Automation & Control Logic: Assist in programming automation sequences for solar+storage systems including safety interlocks and operational workflows.
Solar Software Integration: Integrate inverter platforms, data loggers, and monitoring APIs into our Energy Management System (EMS).
Electrical Design Support: Collaborate with licensed engineers on load calculations, single-line diagrams, and NEC-compliant system layouts.
Tech Stack & Tools
Python · REST APIs · Modbus/DNP3 · SQL · React or similar JS framework · Figma · scikit-learn / TensorFlow · Git · Linux
