Construction Superintendent - Plumbing
SUPERINTENDENT – COMMERCIAL / INDUSTRIAL PLUMBINGNationwide Travel Required – Primarily Eastern & Midwest RegionsPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Commercial / Industrial Plumbing Superintendent to oversee field operations for plumbing scopes within food and beverage manufacturing, industrial, and commercial construction projects across the United States.This role will focus heavily on plumbing systems, process piping, sanitary and process sewer infrastructure, underground utilities, trenching, drain systems, and facility upgrades within active operating environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading plumbing installation and renovation projects in live manufacturing or industrial facilities while maintaining safety, sanitation, and operational continuity.Experience with trenchless rehabilitation methods and CIPP systems is considered a strong plus.The successful candidate must be comfortable managing work within active production facilities and coordinating closely with plant operations to minimize downtime and disruption.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all on site plumbing and utility related construction activities for renovation, maintenance, and infrastructure improvement projectsManage plumbing installation work involving sanitary sewer, process piping, underground utilities, drain systems, trenching, and concrete cutting and pour backsOversee subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, and trade coordination to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budgetCoordinate shutdowns, tie ins, and phased construction activities within active manufacturing environmentsCollaborate directly with plant operations teams to minimize production interruptions and maintain operational continuityEnsure strict compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, GMP, and site specific safety and sanitation standardsMaintain daily reports, schedules, production tracking, and project documentationLead site meetings and communicate project updates, scheduling concerns, and field issues to project leadership and clientsIdentify and proactively resolve field conflicts and operational challengesSupport quality control efforts to ensure plumbing installations meet project specifications and operational requirementsRequired ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial or industrial plumbing projectsStrong background in plumbing systems within food and beverage manufacturing, industrial facilities, processing plants, or large commercial environmentsExperience working within active operating facilities and coordinating phased construction activitiesHands on knowledge of underground utilities, sanitary sewer systems, process piping, trenching, drain systems, concrete cutting, and plumbing infrastructure upgradesStrong understanding of shutdown coordination, production sensitive work, and live environment construction executionAbility and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United StatesStrong leadership, communication, and coordination skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial processing, or GMP regulated environmentsKnowledge of process wastewater systems and plant infrastructure upgradesExperience with trenchless rehabilitation methods, pipe lining, and CIPP systems strongly preferredBackground managing multi site programs or national rollout projectsOSHA 30 Certification preferredBenefitsOpportunity to lead specialized projects within highly technical manufacturing environmentsExposure to national clients and complex industrial facility operationsStrong project pipeline with long term career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensation package including travel support, health benefits, retirement plans, and performance incentives
