Based in Columbia, SC, we specialize in creating functional and innovative commercial spaces that stand the test of time.First Class Construction is looking to add an experienced Commercial Construction Project Superintendent to our growing team.We’re looking for someone who knows how to lead from the field — someone who can manage subcontractors, drive schedules, enforce quality and safety standards, communicate clearly, and keep projects moving with professionalism and accountability.This is a strong opportunity for a motivated superintendent who is ready to step into an active role with a local general contractor and make an immediate impact.What You’ll Be Responsible For:✔️ Supervising day-to-day field operations✔️ Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, testing agencies, and project teams✔️ Managing site logistics, safety, cleanup, and quality control✔️ Reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, and site-delivered materials✔️ Supporting project schedules, 3-week lookaheads, daily reports, and progress tracking✔️ Identifying field issues early and helping drive practical solutions✔️ Managing punch list, turnover, and client expectationsIdeal Candidate:✔️ Minimum 5 years of commercial construction field experience✔️ Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills✔️ Ability to manage multiple priorities on active construction sites✔️ Comfortable working with project managers, subcontractors, consultants, and owners✔️ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required✔️ Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screeningExperience with Microsoft Office and Corecon is a plus.Benefits Include:✅ Health insurance✅ Dental insurance✅ Paid holidays✅ Vehicle allowance✅ Vacation after one year of employmentIf you are a superintendent who takes pride in running a clean, safe, organized, and productive jobsite — we want to talk with you.📩 Interested candidates should apply or send their resume directly to First Class Construction at info@fccon.com
