Job Title: DermatologistLocation: Augusta, GAEmployment Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $350k to $500k Annually Position SummaryThe Dermatologist provides comprehensive dermatologic care, including the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of skin, hair, and nail conditions for patients across the lifespan. The physician delivers high-quality, compassionate care while addressing medical dermatology needs such as chronic skin disease management, skin cancer screening, and procedural dermatology.This role supports access to specialty dermatologic care within the community and works closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes, promote prevention, and support population health initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesCryotherapyElectrodessicationIncision and drainageRemoval of benign and malignant lesionsDevelop individualized treatment plans for chronic dermatologic conditions and provide appropriate follow-up care.Educate patients on skin health, sun protection, and disease prevention.Coordinate referrals to Mohs surgeons, oncology specialists, or other specialty providers when needed.Collaborate with primary care providers to manage dermatologic conditions in medically complex patients.Compliance & Quality CareEnsure dermatology services follow established clinical guidelines for skin cancer detection, chronic disease management, and procedural safety.Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure proper procedural coding in accordance with dermatology billing standards.Team Leadership & SupportSupervise and support clinical staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.Collaborate with medical and administrative leadership to develop clinical protocols, workflows, and care strategies.Participate in peer review activities, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training programs.Community EngagementPromote health education and preventive dermatologic care within the community.Participate in outreach programs, health initiatives, and community events that support population health goals.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills in dermatology.Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Expertise in dermatologic procedures and skin cancer management.Ability to manage a high-volume outpatient dermatology clinic.Education & ExperienceDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.Completion of an accredited Dermatology Residency Program.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology.Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia (or ability to obtain).Current DEA registration.BLS and/or ACLS certification required.Working ConditionsWork is primarily conducted in a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting.The role involves frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and support staff.Occasional extended hours or weekend shifts may be required based on clinic needs.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) accrued biweeklyPaid company holidaysRetirement plan optionsEmployee wellness programs (including discounted YMCA membership)Continuing medical education and professional development support
