Located in Forest Grove, Oregon and founded in 2002, Adelante Mujeres is known for innovative responses to community concerns.The Market Access Specialist is a creative, hands-on, entrepreneurial collaborator in our Market Access Program. This role will support existing Latine small business owners with access to markets, networking, coaching, technical assistance, training, and other resources to effectively manage their business. Business owners will have varying levels of business knowledge, experience, and product maturity requiring this role to be able to be adaptable in support. This role will utilize a variety of channels to promote products and services including digital sales, retail, and farmers markets. The Market Access Specialist reports to the Market Access Program Manager.Coordinate the business recruitment and retention of participants in the Retail Business Incubator ProjectProvide technical assistance and one-on-one coaching to identified business owners in the Farmers Market and Retail Business Incubator ProjectOversee all aspects of the retail storefront operations including vendor scheduling, merchandising, inventory control, event planning, and store designDesign and implement marketing strategies including regular social media posts, promotional events, material distribution, website updates, and media communicationResearch and build partnerships for sales and distribution opportunities available to participantsUtilize Salesforce database tracking systemWe recognize that there are multiple expressions of professional readiness. The ideal candidate has many of the following skills and experience:A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres including support for education, social justice, the environment, immigrant & BIPOC communities.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communicationAssociates degree in Marketing, Retail Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field; OR 2 years of comparable experience in microenterprise or small business development (including food-business or farm-business)Minimum one year experience working with the Latine community in business developmentDemonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborationsDemonstrated project management skillsFamiliarity with managing financial and accounting processesProficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Zoom, Canva, and other virtual platformsBilingual language skills in Spanish and English required, professional ability to read, write and speakExperience facilitating workshops, trainings and meetingsExperience with social media platforms, design, and communicationsExperience in database management?and experience tracking dataExperience with farm business, general business management, microenterprises, or regenerative agriculture practicesAbility to successfully pass Criminal Background RegistryReliable transportation to travel between worksitesAbility to manage a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and travel to eventsSalary range: $55K - $58K, depending on qualifications. Classification: Exempt, Salary, Full-time. Telework: up to 2 days a week.
