Job DescriptionLocum - Physician - General Medicine NCJoin our dynamic healthcare team as a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine and make a meaningful impact by providing essential assessments to Veterans nationwide. This role offers flexible, ongoing part-time opportunities that allow you to utilize your medical expertise in a rewarding, non-treatment capacity. As a trusted provider, you&#39;ll perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, crucial to supporting Veterans' health and benefits.Key Responsibilities:Conduct interview-based Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.Complete physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluation.Prepare and submit detailed reports and addendums in a timely manner.Follow specified protocols without engaging in prescribing or treatment.Required Skills:Medical license in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields.Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred.Strong interview and assessment skills.Ability to adhere to strict timeframes and documentation requirements.Excellent communication and attention to detail.Nice to Have Skills:Prior experience with Veterans' health assessments or government contracts.Background in physical examinations and diagnostic testing.Certification in relevant medical specialties or VA-specific training.Preferred Education and Experience:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Proven experience in general medicine practice or veteran health assessments.Completed relevant certifications or training related to compensation and pension evaluations.Other Requirements:Must own and operate a private office within specified geographic areas.Willingness to work on a PRN basis, including half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.Ability to complete onboarding and credentialing swiftly.Local candidates only; travel included in rates.No reimbursable costs for certifications or portal training pre-start.This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to Veterans' wellbeing while enjoying competitive compensation at a rate of $624 per hour.
