EHS Engineer

Environmental, Health & Safety EngineerOur client is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer to lead plant-wide safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance efforts. This role is responsible for developing and implementing programs that reduce workplace risk, ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, and support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.This person will serve as the primary point of contact for safety and environmental matters, oversee reporting and documentation, coordinate required training and monitoring activities, and help ensure the facility remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary company contact for OSHA, EPA, APCD, MSD, hazardous waste, storm water, Tier II, and TRI/Form R activitiesMaintain and update plant safety rules, EHS manuals, accident and incident logs, and related compliance documentationLead or participate in plant safety and housekeeping auditsCoordinate and deliver safety training programs including PIT, LOTO, hearing conservation, hazardous waste, and spill responseCreate machine postings and training materials related to lockout/tagout proceduresCoordinate noise surveys, air quality monitoring, monthly sampling, and semi-annual testing/reporting requirementsManage environmental reporting including TAP usage, VOC monitoring, visible stack monitoring, CAT 1 through 4 emissions, and annual air emissions reportingSupport and maintain compliance with Title V permitting requirementsOversee discharge permit coordination, monthly reporting, and semi-annual TTO samplingMaintain waste profiles and coordinate hazardous waste disposal, manifests, and inspection documentationTrack, justify, and manage APCD-related fees and chargesSupport spill documentation, special waste activities, and ongoing environmental compliance effortsWork cross-functionally with employees at all levels to promote a strong culture of safety and complianceUphold company mission, quality standards, and operational goals in all aspects of the roleQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering required, or at least 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements in a manufacturing settingExperience with safety training, audits, incident tracking, and compliance reportingFamiliarity with hazardous waste handling, emissions reporting, storm water compliance, and permitting processesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities effectivelyAbility to work well with employees at all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
