SR Snowflake Data Engineer (AWS & Python Dev experience)

Codeworks is a locally owned and operated IT Services firm in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.Our financial services client is looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with AWS and Python development experience, to join their team on a contract basis, with the potential to convert to full time.As an engineer, this individual will be responsible for providing high-level consulting services to clients and preparing programming assignments. They will design, plan, and supervise implementation of complex, large-scale system projects. Other responsibilities will include reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a complex, large-scale computer system.The ideal candidate will have the following skills:Very strong on SQL with at least 7 years of experience working with SQL on large scale datasets. Strong Cloud based engineering background with design, implementation and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on AWSStrong professional experience in Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data WarehouseMust be proficient with Python programming language. Must have experience on ETL development life cycle, best practices of ETL pipelines, thorough work experience on data warehouse using combination of Python, Snowflake & AWS Services. Top five technologies for the position include: Cloud Architectures/solutions in AWS, Snowflake, Python, Astronomer, and Airflow.
