Controller (CPA Required)Industry: Technology Consulting, Digital Transformation & Software ServicesPosition SummaryA growing technology consulting and professional services organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting function. This individual will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, and compliance activities while partnering closely with executive leadership to support the organization's continued growth.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise, experience in professional services or technology environments, and the ability to build scalable processes that support a high-growth organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.Oversee revenue recognition and project accounting activities.Monitor project profitability, utilization, and consulting margins.Partner with leadership on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital requirements.Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.Support acquisitions, due diligence efforts, and other strategic growth initiatives as needed.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required.Active CPA designation required.8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.3+ years of leadership experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements.Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP systems experience.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in day-to-day accounting activities.
