Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics ED

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics ED Location: Edison, NJ 08818 Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension) Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays- As Needed. No on Call. Pay Range: $64.50 - $67/hr. on W2 Job Summary: · Our Emergency Department RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. · In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for pediatric patients. · Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions. · Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly." Required Skills & Experience: · Must have minimum 18 months of Nursing experience working in a pediatric ED environment. · Demonstrated levels of performance and practice are required. · Must have ED experience within the past six months. · Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. · Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. · Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. · This is a FAST-PACED, high patient acuity Pediatric Emergency Department. · Pediatric Emergency Department can reach up to 80 Patient Volume ED/per day. · Float Requirements- float within department- ED Adult, Peds, IMC Required Education: ASN Preferred Education: BSN Required Certifications & Licensure: · NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. · BLS-American Heart Assoc. · ACLS-American Heart Assoc. · PALS-American Heart Assoc. · NIHSS Preferred Certifications & Licensure: · NRP-American Heart Assoc. · ENPC "
