OARS Program Coordinator - Limited TermJob no: 40000307Work type: Full TimeLocation: WilliamsburgCategories: Human/Social ServiceJob Summary$64,066 - $100,292 / year DOQ + Full-Time County BenefitsPerforms coordination, oversight, and program service delivery provided under the Opioid Abatement Authority, the National Opioid Abatement Settlement, as well as other local child welfare programs and initiatives.Responsibilities• Oversees management of the OARS (Opioid Abatement Resources Support) Program by ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local policies and procedures to ensure seamless coordinated care of families referred to the program.• Serves to support the Family Services Division with service delivery to families served by the OARS Program, to include completing assessments, developing and implementing service plans that address the needs of the families being served, making referrals for services by being knowledgeable of local services and resources, working with community service providers, and serving as a client advocate in accessing services.• Evaluates the effectiveness of the program by developing outcome criteria, documenting services provided to enrolled individuals, collecting survey data and completing quarterly and annual data reports.• Manages the OARS Program budget, including coordination with fiscal managers to anticipate fund disbursement dates, define budget lines, and effectively track expenses.• Provides guidance to child welfare staff on training and information related to substance use disorders, substance exposed infant care, and Opioid Abatement Authority policies and procedures.• Acts as a liaison between Social Services, other County departments, community organizations, and community residents and program participants.• Conducts outreach, community education, and training to local partners on substance use disorders and other child welfare related programs and initiativesQualifications:• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field; extensive experience in the local department of social services and/or community organizations, with considerable experience in services related to substance use disorders; or a Master's degree in Human Services or related field and considerable experience in a local department of social services and/or community organization.• Must possess or obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Virginia driver's license and have an acceptable driving record based on James City County's criteria.• Demonstrated proficiency in intervening in complex case situations, including support for case-related court involvement.• Knowledge of substance use disorder program areas as evidenced by completion of required training and leadership techniques.• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including setting and meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.• Skill in use of computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite.• Ability to analyze and use judgment in accomplishing diversified duties; think independently within the limits of policies, standards, and precedents.Click here for full job description.
