Controls Engineer

Your work would involve designing, programming, and optimizing advanced control systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. You'd also help implement and support new projects across multiple production sites. We're looking for someone with hands-on DCS/PLC experience and a strong background in industrial automation and process control engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate electrical and controls design with project stakeholders.Lead hardware design, programming, documentation, and startup for controls projects.Develop/review P&IDs, process descriptions, and DCS/PLC configurations.Specify and oversee installation of instruments, valves, and I/O panels.Troubleshoot SIS and maintain electrical documentation (loads, Arc Flash, one-lines).Perform PID tuning and support operations with equipment installation and troubleshooting.Prepare specs, support procurement, and provide cost and schedule estimates for controls work.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field with 5+ years of experience.Background in manufacturing environments (chemical, food/bev, or similar).Strong DCS/PLC, motor control, and VFD experience.Knowledge of common communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Fieldbus, DeviceNet).Skilled in IEC 61131-3 languages (LD, ST, FBD) and Allen-Bradley platforms (Logix/Studio, FactoryTalk).Familiar with UL, NEC/CEC, NFPA, hazardous ratings, and basic PSM concepts.Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD or similar tools a plus; able to manage multiple projects independently.BenefitsCompetitive Compensation ($90 - $130K)Vacation/PTOMedical, Dental, Vision
