Engineering Technician / Machine Controls / Test and Validation Technician - Solon, Ohio - JOB 26-00183 Salary Range: $58k - $64k Permanent Position with Benefits. Solon, Ohio area manufacturer is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician who is familiar with PLC machine controls to test, trouble-shoot, and assist with controls development. REQUIREMENTS High School Graduate (Vocational, Associate or Bachelor Degree is a plus) Organized with exceptional verbal and written communication skills for documentation and client interaction when needed Solid understand and familiarity with PLC (programmable logic controls) for machine control / robotics Preferred: Knowledge of "Robot AS” (RaaS) as a cloud computing unit that facilitates the seamless integration of robot and embedded devices into Web and cloud computing environment Preferred: Familiarity with Kepware drivers which optimizes communications and reduces network and device load via data conditioning and reduction, and protocol-specific optimization drivers which support a broad range of protocols found in various verticals, wired and wireless networks, databases, custom software applications, and OPC servers. Skilled to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical technical prints Past experience building electrical and mechanical equipment is strongly desired Clean driving record Passport may be needed for occasional travel Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
