We look forward to reviewing your application!The Pipe Layer is responsible for installing underground piping systems for heavy civil highway construction projects. This role requires an understanding of pipe installation, grade control, trench safety, and basic math functions used for layout and flow calculations. The Pipe Layer works closely with equipment operators, laborers, and supervisors to ensure installations meet project specifications and safety standards.Install underground pipe systems including RCP (Reinforced Concrete Pipe), HDPE, and PVC in accordance with plans and specificationsPerform basic math calculations for pipe grades, slopes, and elevationsUnderstand and interpret layout markings, stakes, and cut sheetsEnsure proper bedding, alignment, and joint installationAssist with setting pipes to grade using lasers, levels, or grade stakesFollow and enforce trench safety requirements, including shoring, sloping, and access/egressWork safely around heavy equipment in an active highway construction environmentIdentify and report unsafe conditions, improper installations, or plan discrepanciesInstalls pipes and fixtures.Inspects and tests installed pipe systems and pipelines.Maintains and repairs plumbing systems.
