Travel RN - Surgical ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring Epic proficiency, high-acuity critical care skills, and a valid LA or compact RN license.Job Details• High-acuity Surgical ICU (SICU) setting within a large hospital system,• Patient ratio of 1:2,• Patient population includes general post-op surgical recovery, transplant recovery (liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas), and CVICU cases such as post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection, IABP, and PA catheter management,• Floating required to other ICUs and Step-Down Units (SDUs),• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM),• Epic EMR experience required,• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated,Job Requirements• Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),• Significant high-acuity ICU experience required,• Epic EMR proficiency required,• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) required,• Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) preferred,• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,Additional Information• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA),• Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process; undisclosed RTO may result in a rescinded offer,• Upon accepting an assignment, your unit manager may designate you to an Emergency Team, which may require you to remain on-site during or after an emergency event or serve as part of a relief team,
