Essay Specialist (FT) - Remote

Employer Industry: Education Services Why consider this job opportunity Starting pay up to $23.00 per hour depending on education, experience, and skill Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Opportunities for career advancement and growth within the organization Flexible remote work options Supportive and collaborative work environment with ongoing professional development Chance to make a lasting impact on students' lives by helping them discover their authentic voice What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): Provide asynchronous revision and feedback to high school students on their application essays Collaborate with teams to give in-depth feedback on essay drafts and conduct necessary editing Manage students' production schedules and communicate with team members in a timely manner Track and log hours worked while maintaining professionalism and strong organizational skills Work on a project basis focusing on both narrative and supplemental essays What is Required (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or higher Minimum of 2 years of editing experience, preferably in college admissions Strong editing skills and mastery of the English language Access to a reliable internet connection and a private workspace without noise or distraction Ability to manage multiple deadlines and take responsibility for students' progress How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): Graduated from a top 50 University Degree in a communication-based field (e.g., English, Language Arts, Journalism, Creative Writing) Experience tutoring high school and/or college-aged students in writing Editing experience in positions requiring heavy editing to meet organizational standards Familiarity with remote teaching tools such as Google Workspace and Dropbox J-18808-Ljbffr
