We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who brings strong clinical skills, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to both resident well-being and team support. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and campus leadership to provide day-to-day clinical oversight, support staff development, and help ensure consistent, high-quality care in a setting where relationships matter and leadership is present.Opportunity Details:Full time dayshiftTo support continuous resident care and campus operations, this role includes: a rotating schedule of every 6th weekend, every 6th holiday, one 12pm-8pm shift per month, and flexibility to meet On Call campus needs.Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities:Clinical Operations & Resident CareProvide direct nursing services as needed to support resident health and safetyConduct and review head-to-toe assessments for new and returning residentsParticipate in wellness team meetings and coordinate ongoing resident assessmentsMonitor quality of care delivery and ensure consistency in clinical practicesComplete and review DHS-required assessments for assigned residentsEnsure care and support plans are communicated and followed by care teamsMaintain open communication with residents, families, physicians, and care teamsSupport resident wellness through ongoing evaluation and coordination of careLeadership, Team Support & DevelopmentProvide hands-on supervision of personal care staff and support nursing team oversightAssist in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of care staffParticipate in coaching, feedback, and performance evaluationsSupport staffing coordination in collaboration with the Director of NursingFoster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountabilityClinical Compliance, Safety & DocumentationSupport compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsAssist with infection control practices, tracking, and reportingEnsure medication associate training and monitoring meets required standardsMonitor for safety concerns, including potential abuse or neglect, and respond appropriatelyMaintain accurate documentation and serve as a PointClickCare resource for staffInterdisciplinary Collaboration & Resident ExperienceCollaborate with dining, life enrichment, therapy, and chaplain services to support resident well-beingProvide social, emotional, and supportive care to residents and familiesPartner with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience and outcomesAssistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications:Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of employment24 years of clinical nursing experience in assisted living, personal care, or long-term carePrior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferredStrong knowledge of resident care practices, care planning, and team supportExperience supervising or guiding care staff, including coaching and trainingProficiency with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare) and basic computer systemsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsCPR certification requiredOur Investment in You:Above standard industry pay and comprehensive benefits including Highmark Blue Shield and employer-matching 401(k)Length of service bonusGenerous paid time off, including holidays, your birthday, a Personal Day of Meaning, and the opportunity to roll over unused timeSupplemental life insurance, company-paid short-term disability, and optional long- and short-term disability plansOur Support for You:Family-owned, private company based in Hershey, PADirect access to your supervisory teamIncentivized career paths and tuition reimbursementOn-the-job training and continuing educationEmployee Assistance Program for you and your familyCo-worker Foundation (grants for times of need)Helping Hand interest-free loansAbout Country Meadows/Ecumenical: We have over 2500 co-workers who are serving our residents with meaning, thriving with purpose and leading our company with innovation!
