Credit Manager / Credit Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Manager / Credit Analyst to join our financial services team. This role is pivotal in assessing creditworthiness, managing credit portfolios, and supporting risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and experience in credit analysis, underwriting, and financial modeling. Duties Conduct comprehensive credit analysis by evaluating financial statements, cash flow, and risk factors using advanced financial concepts and software tools. Develop and maintain detailed financial models for forecasting and risk analysis to support credit decisions. Prepare detailed financial reports, including risk assessments, portfolio management insights, and recommendations for credit approval or denial. Engage in negotiation with clients regarding credit terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and risk appetite. Monitor existing credit portfolios for signs of fraud or potential default; implement fraud prevention and detection measures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as accounting, banking, and legal to ensure proper documentation and adherence to regulatory standards. Stay updated on industry trends related to financial services, quantitative research, and technical accounting practices relevant to credit management. Assist in developing strategies for debt collection, loan processing improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in credit analysis, or related financial roles within the wholesale or industrial industries. Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis. Proficiency with financial software tools used for data collection, analysis, and report writing. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, risk assessment, portfolio management, and fraud detection techniques. Strong math skills coupled with the ability to perform detailed financial report writing and risk evaluations.
