This role is ideal for someone who understands custom metal work, fabrication processes, shop workflow, and basic engineering/blueprint interpretation.Responsibilities:Prepare estimates and material take-offs for custom architectural metal projectsReview drawings, specifications, and production requirementsCoordinate production scheduling and workflow within the shopAssist with project planning, timelines, and job trackingCommunicate with fabrication teams, project managers, and vendorsMonitor production progress and provide reporting updatesHelp ensure projects stay on schedule and within budgetSupport purchasing and material planning as neededQualifications:Experience in metal fabrication, architectural metals, or custom manufacturingKnowledge of estimating, scheduling, and production planningAbility to read blueprints and technical drawingsStrong organizational and communication skillsFamiliarity with shop operations and fabrication processesEngineering or drafting knowledge is a plusExperience with ERP systems, Excel, or project tracking software preferredIdeal Candidate:Someone who thrives in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment, understands both the office and shop side of operations, and can help keep projects moving efficiently from estimate to production.
