Physical and electronic security systems are comprised of major components from vendors including AMAG, Genetec, Motorola (Pelco), and Axis. Supporting IT systems and infrastructure include Dell EMC servers, workstations, thin clients, and network attached storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, group policy, client operating systems (Windows 10/11), and Microsoft Office suite, Cisco network infrastructure, and Vertiv (Avocent) IP KVM devices.Job Duties IncludePerform installation, upgrades, maintenance, and facilitate lifecycle replacement of IT systemsCoordinate, integrate and assist in the management of technical efforts being performed to ensure that identified needs are transformed into effective and life-cycle optimized systemsConfirm that the system’s definition and design reflect the requirements for all systems’ elements (hardware, software, data, facilities, etc.)Work in a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractor, program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraintsDocument solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraintsDevelopment and review of various technical documentation, including change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papersCommunicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet and industry stakeholdersMay develop and execute contingency plans for network related hardware failures including isolated and major outagesQualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be acceptedInterim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance processMust be a U.S. citizenExperience with one or more of the following system components AMAG, Genetec, Motorola (Pelco), and AxisExperience supporting one or more of the following Dell EMC servers, workstations, thin clients, and network attached storage, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, group policy, client operating systems (Windows 10/11), and Microsoft Office suite, Cisco network infrastructure, and Vertiv (Avocent) IP KVM devicesAbility to provide client consulting and training on the design and use of the network systems and architecturesAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpointsDesired ExperienceExperience in software development, scripting and automation, database administration, patch management, configuration management, or cybersecurityExperience working in or supporting physical security organizationsFamiliarity with DoD acquisition process highly desiredCertification in CompTIA Security+
