Conveniently located at I-26 and University Avenue on the Trident Hospital campus, our facility is committed to delivering high-quality care and exceptional service to our residents.Position Details:Full-Time, Salaried PositionDay Shift | Monday–Friday SchedulePosition SummaryThe Dietary Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dietary department, ensuring high-quality food service, regulatory compliance, and a positive dining experience for residents. This role plays a key leadership function in staff development, departmental operations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.QualificationsCompletion of, or enrollment in, an approved Dietary Manager’s CourseTraining in food service with ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructionsPreferred:Registered/Licensed DietitianCertified Dietary Manager (CDM)Diet Technician with supervisory experienceKnowledge of:Dietetics principles and special dietary requirementsFood sanitation and service standardsLarge-scale food purchasing and preparationLabor laws and food service regulationsInventory management, budgeting, and reportingStrong computer and keyboarding skillsCoursework in nutrition, personnel management, or supervisory training preferredKey ResponsibilitiesLead the dietary department in alignment with resident needs and facility goalsTrain and mentor dietary staff to meet regulatory and quality standardsCollaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teamsEstablish and achieve departmental goalsOperational DutiesOversee all dietary operations to ensure quality service deliveryAttend Department Head meetingsMaintain department within budget parametersManage food ordering and inventoryTrack and process invoices accuratelySupervisory ResponsibilitiesMonitor staff performance and ensure adherence to company policiesManage scheduling, overtime, and PTO approvalsConduct interviews, reference checks, and onboardingComplete performance evaluations and recommend merit increasesAdminister discipline in accordance with company policyWhy Join White Oak Manor CharlestonJoin a team dedicated to compassionate care, professional excellence, and a supportive work environment.Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)Smoke-Free Workplace
