Position SummaryThe primary purpose of the EHS Environmental summer intern is to learn about key components of environmental compliance and engage in EHS-related projects.Role And ResponsibilitiesWork on environmental components within the Integrated Management SystemAssist with tasks during HQ EHS/Infrastructure and internal ISO auditsAssist with regulatory evaluation and reporting requirements pertaining to air quality, storm water, wastewater, hazardous waste, and chemical managementMonitor for EHS key performance indicatorsAssist with materials management for the Hazard Communication ProgramDevelop training materials and communication materialsParticipate in pollution prevention initiatives and eventsParticipate in site assessment of Water Restoration ProjectTentative Special ProjectsParticipate in implementation of DX Meta FactoryAssist with initiation of wildlife biological assessment of propertyDevelop PIT traffic study for pedestrian monitoringDevelopment of online training trackerSkills And Qualifications Education: Pursuing a four-year degree in either Environmental Science, Studies, Health, Engineering, or Sustainability, OR a related science degree (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Education). Experience: Prior work and/or internship experience in a science field is ideal, but not required Knowledge: Microsoft office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Access); knowledge of coding and Canva is a plus Physical requirement: Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time (up to 1 hour), use standard office equipment, work outdoors, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (hard toe safety shoes, safety glasses/goggles, and hearing protection) Physical requirement: All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.General Notice“Candidates are expected to honor their obligations to former employers.
