EHS Safety Intern

Position SummaryThe primary purpose of the EHS Safety summer intern is to learn about key components of safety measures and occupational health requirements and engage in EHS-related projects.Role And ResponsibilitiesWork on safety and occupational health components within the Integrated Management SystemAssist with tasks during HQ EHS/Infrastructure and internal ISO auditsAssist with regulatory evaluation and reporting requirementsMonitor for EHS key performance indicatorsAssist with materials management for the Hazard Communication ProgramAssist with develop training materials and communication materialsTentative Special ProjectsFacilitate ergonomics assessments (recording)Conduct IP address mapping of all safety devices and interlocks (DX Meta Factory)Mapping fire system trouble alarmsConduct trending industrial hygiene dataSkills And Qualifications Education: Pursuing a four-year degree in either Environmental Science, Studies, Health, Engineering, or Sustainability, OR a related science degree (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Education). Experience: Prior work and/or internship experience in a science field is ideal, but not required Knowledge: Microsoft office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Access); knowledge of coding and Canva is a plus Physical requirement: Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time (up to 1 hour), use standard office equipment, work outdoors, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (hard toe safety shoes, safety glasses/goggles, and hearing protection) Physical requirement: All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.General Notice“Candidates are expected to honor their obligations to former employers.
