Pay Range:$35.32 - $49.20 per hourDeliver Critical Imaging in a Fast-Paced Urgent Care SettingJoin our urgent care team as a Radiographer (X-Ray Tech, Radiology Tech), where your expertise helps providers quickly diagnose and treat a wide range of injuries and conditions. In this dynamic, patient-focused environment, you'll perform diagnostic imaging while collaborating closely with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care.Reporting to the Urgent Care Practice Manager and Radiology Section Leader, and working under the clinical guidance of physicians and radiology leadership, you'll play a key role in delivering timely, accurate imaging that supports patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging using ionizing radiation in accordance with safety and quality standards
Capture high-quality images of bones, tissues, and organs to support diagnosis and treatment
Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care and workflow
Maintain and operate radiology equipment, including PACS and RIS systems
Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Follow radiation safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Assist with general clinical flow and support team-based patient care
What You BringRequired Education
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited collegeRequired Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
Urgent care or emergency department experience is a plus, but not requiredLicensure & Certification
ARRT (R) certification required, or registry-eligible with certification obtained within 6 months of hire
Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiographer license required
Current CPR/BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
Key Skills & Strengths
Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety
Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including medical terminology
Excellent patient care and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive or escalated situations
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
