We are looking for a motivated professional to build and lead our Low-Voltage Division in this market. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership of a division and help grow it within an established electrical contracting company.Position OverviewCal-Tex Electric is seeking a self-motivated and driven individual interested in helping establish and run our Low-Voltage Division in the Twin Cities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, leading installations, coordinating projects, and helping develop the division's capabilities and customer base.This role is perfect for someone who wants more responsibility and the opportunity to grow a division within a company that is actively expanding.RequirementsPrimary ResponsibilitiesLead and help grow Cal-Tex Electric's Low-Voltage Division in the Minneapolis–St. Paul areaInstall, program, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including:Structured cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)Network infrastructureSecurity and surveillance systemsAccess control systemsFire alarm systemsAudio/visual systemsRead and interpret project plans, specifications, and low-voltage schematicsCoordinate with project managers, general contractors, and customersAssist with estimating, material procurement, and project planningPerform testing, certification, and documentation of installed systemsEnsure installations meet NEC, local codes, and industry standardsMaintain high standards for safety, organization, and workmanshipPreferred QualificationsBICSI Certification (Installer, Technician, or RCDD preferred)Certifications such as:NICET (Fire Alarm)EST or other fire alarm manufacturer certificationsExperience with structured cabling installation and certification testingExperience installing or servicing fire alarm, security, or access control systemsAbility to manage projects and work independentlyStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAdditional QualificationsValid driver's licenseStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently while coordinating with company leadershipCommitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfactionMN Power Limited Technician LicenseWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceOpportunity to lead and grow a new divisionSupport from an established electrical contractorOpportunities for training and certification advancementLong-term career growth with a growing companyMedical & Dental InsuranceEmployer-paid Life Insurance401k with Employer MatchPTO and HolidaysCompany PhoneJ-18808-Ljbffr
