The Department of Health (DOH) is seeking a Community Health Nurse Supervisor to direct our team in providing education and clinical services to help people improve their own health. The work you accomplish in this role will help us continue to make sure DOH programs are available to the citizens of Pennsylvania in the Southcentral District. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will ensure the health of the community by linking DOH programs resources with community partnership activities. This is done via meetings, teleconferences, and clinics. You will provide and supervise clinical services for immunizations, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and STDs, including specimen collection to patient health and prevent or control disease. Some of your duties will include directing public health services and special projects, representing DOH on committees, and participating in the development of procedures and policies. Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Weekends and after-hours as neededHeadquarters will be determined by selected candidate and may be one of the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Huntingdon, or Mifflin.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in one of the above counties. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years as a Community Health Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);orFour years of community health nursing experience; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirements:All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
