This role calls for strong communication skills, attentiveness to guest needs, and a genuine dedication to making each treatment a positive and personalized experience.We're looking for someone who can...Welcome guests in the Spa Relaxation Room and escort them to their treatment space.Clearly explain scheduled services and help guests feel comfortable and informed.Deliver massage and body treatments to the highest standard, tailoring each session to individual guest needs.Confidently describe and recommend spa services and retail products as appropriate to each guest.Maintain detailed notes on guest preferences, skincare concerns, and retail recommendations or purchases.Provide thoughtful solutions to guest concerns, always upholding professional standards and conduct.Keep treatment rooms and personal work areas clean, organized, and presentable.Help maintain overall spa cleanliness, including relaxation areas, locker rooms, and supply stock.Promote a safe working environment and complete all tasks with safety in mind.Stay up to date on spa products, services, and resort offerings to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.Communicate effectively with spa leadership, team members, hotel staff, and guests.Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and spa events.Support the Spa Manager with additional tasks or responsibilities as needed.Full job description available upon request by emailing Careers@Alderbrookresort.com .QualificationsRequired | 3+ years' experience in massageRequired | Saturday and Sunday availabilityDesirable | Previous hotel/resort experienceDesirable | Extensive experience with massages and spa body treatmentsEquivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be consideredRequired Permits & CertificationsActive WA Massage Therapy License requiredActive Professional Liability Occurrence Coverage requiredPerks for All Employees401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions ( upon meeting eligibility criteria )Paid sick time ( part-time and/or seasonal staff )Free daily meals fresh from the kitchenFree kayak and paddleboard rentalsHuge discounts on rooms, spa, our restaurant and more!Collaboration & EngagementAs a Massage Therapist, you will work under the direct guidance of the Spa Director. In addition to your home department, you may occasionally interface with other teams. You will not oversee other staff and can expect a significant level of interaction with guests and the public.Foundational & Prerequisite SkillsCapable of clear written composition, strong comprehension, and a safety-conscious mindset.Intermediate proofreading & documentation, knowledge of WACs (Washington Administrative Code), related industry terminology, knowledge, standards and best practices, and schedule management.Advanced HIPAA compliance, English (speaking, reading, writing).Learn As You GoIntermediate OSHA / L&I compliance, general computer use, and SpaSoft familiarity.Culture & CompetenciesPersonal Characteristics.
