Assistant Controller

Job Title: Assistant ControllerLocation: Hybrid Remote in Fort Worth, TXSchedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM CSTSalary Range: $140K-$150K + BonusType: Full-Time; Salaried/ExemptOverview: Addison Group has partnered with a nationally recognized manufacturing organization to hire a strong Assistant Controller for a full-time opportunity. This role offers hands-on leadership of the Fort Worth, TX accounting team while working closely with a national Corporate Controller. The position provides meaningful ownership, strong professional visibility, and clear growth potential within a rapidly expanding organization focused on automation, sustainability, and investing in employee development for long-term success.Job Duties:Manage the preparation and review of core financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and analytical trend reviews.Maintain adherence to GAAP, relevant industry regulations, and third‑party reporting standards, including lease and revenue recognition guidance.Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the FW manufacturing facilityDeliver timely financial insights and reporting that inform leadership and operational decision-making.Establish and uphold effective internal control frameworks to protect organizational assets.Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while setting direction for the overall accounting function and ensuring consistency in accounting policies and procedures.Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing groups to support alignment between financial objectives and production activities.Assist with ongoing ERP optimization initiatives and broader financial system enhancements.Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on process efficiency, documentation, standardization, and risk reduction.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field of studyA CPA is highly preferred8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance; 2+ years of leadership expertiseA professional background in manufacturing is a big plusStrong proficiency in ERP systems (system implementation experience is a big plus)Advanced Excel and financial modeling experienceProficiency in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting in manufacturingBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K
