This role supervises a small team and works closely with the RCM Director to ensure accurate, timely claims processing and optimal financial performance. The position plays a critical role in auditing processes, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvements across billing operations.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of patient billing and charge entry teams (4–5 staff)Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight for billing team membersReport directly to the Revenue Cycle Management DirectorConduct detailed audits of billing processes, charges, and claims for accuracy and complianceEnsure timely and accurate charge entry, coding, and claim submissionIdentify trends in denials, underpayments, and billing discrepanciesCollaborate with leadership to improve workflows and operational efficiencyReview documentation and support claim edits, including ICD and CPT alignmentEnsure adherence to payer guidelines and internal policiesAssist in resolving complex billing issues through research and payer communicationUtilize Excel-based reporting to track performance and identify improvement opportunitiesMaintain and improve standard operating procedures within billing operationsPrerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in medical billing and codingMinimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong auditing experience within healthcare billing or accounting functionsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with electronic medical record systems preferredIf you meet all of our criteria and would like to be considered please apply with your most updated Resume/CV.
