Accounting Manager - FinOps RTR AmericasWilmington, DEMonday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pmHybrid (minimum three days in office per week)The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting, reporting, and control activities across multiple domestic and international legal entities. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely financial information to support regulatory compliance, external reporting, and internal decision-making.This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and visibility, combining team leadership, financial oversight, and process improvement. The position works closely with global finance teams, FP&A, tax, and business stakeholders to drive consistency and strengthen the control environment.Some of the things you will be doing:Financial Close & Reporting:Oversee monthly close processes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timelinessReview journal entries, reconciliations, and financial results prepared by the teamRemain hands-on in select areas of the close as needed to support delivery and issue resolutionEnsure financial reporting is compliant with US GAAP, with working knowledge of IFRS preferredGlobal Entity OversightManage accounting operations across a mix of US and international entitiesOversee compliance with local statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including regulated structures such as a trustServe as a key point of contact for global stakeholders and regional finance teamsCoordinate with corporate accounting to ensure alignment with global accounting policiesControls, Compliance & Audit:Oversee execution of balance sheet reconciliations and control activitiesStrengthen and maintain a robust internal control environmentServe as liaison for external audits and coordinate responses to audit requestsPartner with tax and legal teams on entity-specific requirements and filingsProcess Improvements & SystemsIdentify opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes across entitiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting qualitySupport system optimization efforts, including transition from NetSuite to SAP S4Identify and analyze stakeholder needs and interests, leveraging insights to enhance project outcomes and drive stakeholder satisfactionTeam LeadershipDirectly manage and develop a team of four accounting professionals across US and UK locationsProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team developmentEnsure clear expectations, ensure accountability, and promote high-quality outputFoster strong collaboration across the teamCore Accounting Areas:Balance sheet reconciliation and controlsRevenue recognitionExpense and accrual accountingEmployee ExpensesCash flow and working capital managementWhat technical experience, skills, and qualifications do you need?Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field7+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, controls, and technical accountingStrong knowledge of US GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS preferredExperience managing or reviewing work across multiple entitiesPrior team leadership experience requiredExperience supporting audits preferredPreferred ERP experience SAP S4, NetSuite, Oracle EBSAdvanced Excel skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.#LI-AM1#AccountingManagerjobs#Hybrid#CSCCareers
