Senior Accountant (Leadership)Location: Wilmington, DE (19802)Job Type: Full-TimeSalary: $95,000–$100,000 annually + comprehensive benefits packagePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager / Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple business entities. This leadership role is ideal for a CPA with a strong foundation in corporate accounting, financial oversight, audit management, and operational finance.The successful candidate will serve as a key financial leader within the organization, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive financial accuracy, strengthen internal controls, support business growth initiatives, and provide strategic financial insight. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance high-level financial strategy with day-to-day accounting oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes across multiple entities.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and financial performance analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and long-range business initiatives.Prepare and present detailed financial reports, KPI analysis, and variance reporting to senior leadership.Lead annual audit preparation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial partners.Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.Oversee payroll accounting, compliance, and related financial processes.Evaluate and improve accounting workflows, systems, and reporting efficiencies.Mentor, lead, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Support organizational growth through financial analysis, operational improvements, and strategic recommendations.QualificationsCPA designation strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.5+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.Strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and audit management.Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.Experience managing multi-entity accounting operations.Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams.Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits packageLeadership opportunity with executive-level exposureCollaborative and growth-oriented environmentOpportunity to influence operational and financial strategyStable and dynamic organization with long-term growth potentialBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
