The Boeing Company is looking for aCalibration Technician Ato join our team inRenton, WA.Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.5+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) ~1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite ~ Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shiftBachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) Precision metrology equipment lab trainingBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift: This position is for 1st shift or 2nd shift; however the candidate must be able to work any shift assigned.Union: This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.Summary Pay Range:$33.32/hour to start for new union members, with potential to earn up to $61.01/hour at max pay Applications for this position will be accepted untilApr.
