Established private dental practice in an amazing environment in need of a certified dental assistant who will make the practice run more effeciently and be pleasant for patients. You will ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist's shoulders. Dental assistant should be well organized, punctual,and consistent with great attention to detail. Must have at least one year of experience . Responsibilites: -Welcome patients into the dental office. Preparing them for treatment and ensuring their comfort. - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to regulations - Take and develop dental x-rays and intraoral pictures - Prepare and maintain dental supplies and equipment inventory - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed to provide 4-handed dentistry assistant to the dentist. - Perform medical documentation and correct coding to ensure proper billing - Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Maintain accurate patient records. Must know how to fabricate temp crowns and or bridge, retraction cord placement, digital impression taking. Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Proficient in using dental software systems, such as CAD and Epic - Knowledge of dental coding for accurate billing and insurance claims - Ability to work well in a team environment - Familiarity with general and cosmetic dental procedures Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties and skills.
