This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more while working with cutting-edge technology like 3D scanners and digital radiography.DutiesPrepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary dental materials in accordance with aseptic techniques.Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.Take digital dental X-rays while ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed.Manage patient records using the Dentrix software system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to monitor patient health before procedures.Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization, aseptic techniques, and adherence to OSHA guidelines.Assist with advanced technology operations such as using scanners and intraoral cameras for procedures such as: Crowns, partials, occlusal guards, and SureSmile.Ordering supplies for the clinical staff and restocking workspaces.Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness.Support the dental team to ensure efficient workflow.QualificationsProven experience as a Dental Assistant.Familiarity with the Dentrix Software.Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.Ability to operate dental equipment including digital X-ray machines and scanners safely and effectively.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and medical documentation standards.Certification in radiography or X-ray technology.Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with the dental team including dental receptionists and specialists like endodontists or prosthodontists.Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in clinical settings.
