We also offer 401(k) with matching contributions, Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, and the opportunity to be part of a dedicated and reliable team.Essential FunctionsThe Saw Operator is responsible for cutting, stamping, and chamfering Studs, and for cutting Bolts or billets per the instructions on Pick Tickets or Work Order.Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance policies.Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.Perform machine set-up to produce orders as required by Pick Tickets or Work Orders.Cutting Studs, Bolts, or billets per Pick Tickets or Work Orders.Select, align, and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials; on machines to include but not limited to saw and stamping and chamfering equipment.Identify Head Stamps for manufacturer marks and grade of fastener.Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.Verify conformance of the finished part to ensure that it meets specificationsOther duties as assignedExperienceMinimum of 1 year of machining-related experience preferredSkills And QualificationsBasic math and mechanical skills aptitudeAbility and desire to do precision work with attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong customer-focusAble to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specificationsAbility to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or PerformanceModerate communication skills with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments/functionsMust be able to work a shift schedule and mandatory overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays as neededFlexible approach to work, with the ability to multi-taskPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shiftModerate physical effort handling parts.Ability to frequently exert average effort.Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks.Able to lift items weighing up 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs repetitively.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focusManual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammerContinuous mental and visual attention in cleaning.
