ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe purpose of the Puller is to pull and pack material for job orders and customer orders, and assist with other tasks related to processing and shipping orders on-time and accurately to our customers.Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.Utilize pick ticket, line item information to pull material and deliver to packaging, assembly, or plating as instructed on the pick ticketRecord product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.Place products or materials into boxes, using hand tools and equipment.Pad boxes and crates using hand tools.Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all timeOther duties as assignedEXPERIENCE1-2 years of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment and forklift experience a plus.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) PreferredAbility to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting testAble to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specificationsAbility to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or PerformanceMust be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekendsMust be able to work at heights above 10 feet.Must be able to read a tape measure or other measuring devises.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shiftModerate physical effort handling parts. Equivalent to frequently exerting average effort.Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks.Must be able to lift items weighing up 60 lbs repetitively.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focusManual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammerContinuous mental and visual attention in cleaning.
