Senior Medical Biller – GYN, Fertility & Laboratory BillingLocation: Manhattan, NY (In-Person)Ferny is a rapidly growing women’s health and fertility practice in Manhattan seeking an experienced Senior Medical Biller with a strong background in gynecology, fertility, and laboratory billing.We are specifically seeking a candidate with hands-on experience in full-cycle medical billing and insurance collections — including claim submission, payment posting, denial management, appeals, insurance follow-up, and reimbursement optimization. This is not a front-desk or eligibility-verification position. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance billing workflows and be comfortable independently managing complex claims and high billing volume.Experience within OB/GYN, reproductive endocrinology/fertility (REI), IVF, and/or laboratory billing is highly preferred. Familiarity with endocrinology, andrology, embryology, and fertility-related procedures is a major advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and ensure accurate billing, coding, and claim submission for gynecology, fertility, and related medical proceduresManage laboratory billing processes for endocrinology, andrology, embryology, and associated fertility laboratory servicesHandle insurance claims from submission through final resolution, including denials, appeals, corrected claims, and payment reconciliationFollow up directly with insurance carriers regarding unpaid, underpaid, or denied claimsReview provider documentation and charts to ensure billing accuracy and maximize reimbursementProvide feedback and guidance to providers and clinical staff regarding documentation and billing optimizationSubmit prior authorizations and maintain familiarity with payer-specific requirements and fertility benefit structuresMonitor accounts receivable and assist in reducing aging claimsMaintain compliance with insurance regulations, billing guidelines, and internal policiesWork collaboratively with management and clinical teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentQualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on medical billing experience in a medical office setting (required)Strong experience with insurance billing and collections requiredExperience in OB/GYN, fertility, IVF, reproductive endocrinology, or laboratory billing strongly preferredMedical Billing Certification requiredExcellent understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, EOB interpretation, and claim workflowsStrong knowledge of medical and laboratory terminologyAbility to independently problem-solve complex billing issues and payer denialsExcellent organizational, multitasking, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentJob TypeFull-timeIn-person positionBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insuranceDental insurancePaid time offLocation RequirementCandidates must be able to reliably commute to Manhattan
