Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Customs Entry Writer located in Avenel, NJ. The Customs Entry Writer will be responsible for processing and managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international customs regulations, and maintaining accurate records and reporting for shipments. Key responsibilities include preparing and submitting import documentation, communicating with importers, carriers, and government agencies, and resolving customs-related issues efficiently. The role also involves maintaining a thorough understanding of tariff classifications, customs valuation, and any changes in import/export laws and procedures. Qualifications Strong knowledge of customs documentation, tariff classifications, and compliance requirementsProficiency in data entry, record-keeping, and attention to detailEffective communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, carriers, and customs authoritiesTime management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or related logistics roles is preferredProficiency in relevant software and tools utilized for logistics and shipment trackingAbility to adapt to the operational procedures and regulations in a fast-paced environmentAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus
