We are currently seeking an Air Import Specialist to join our growing team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, and process export documentation for accountsMust have a better than average understanding of the Import Regulations or other government agency regulations that govern exportsMust have a better than average understanding of TSA regulationsEnsure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, customers and agents in a timely mannerObtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportationCommunicate with overseas agents to ensure proper pre-alerts and documentationContinue to explore different options to reduce cost, and increase revenuesTrack and trace shipment and provide updates to clients and salesUphold a strong and professional relationship with airlines, transportation agencies and salesDemonstrate an emphasis on customer satisfaction per company policyMaintain shipment files and ensure billing is completed within a timely fashionAssist as backup for alternate accountsPerform other duties as assignedMust be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required2 years experience with freight forwarder or export agencyKnowledge on incotermsDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; along with math skills for dimension conversionsIntermediate to Advanced PC skills - MS OfficeHighly organizedProfessional and courteous demeanorDisplays a flexible and open minded willingness to adapt to new environments and be a team playerMust have good ethical standards
