Major Projects' goal is to continue to establish consistent and robust project management practices and governance across the enterprise enabling breakthrough outcomes in service of our hometowns.???????Position Summary This job is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining.This position, under general direction, exercises judgment and discretion and is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Project duration is generally multi-year, requires significant risk management, and may include formal partnering agreements with outside firms. Assignments will have high visibility, require extensive project management skills and often require specific discipline and areas of expertise, such as:Electric transmission substation projectsElectric transmission line projectsThis position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Bay Area-Central Coast region.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.The salary range is:CA Minimum, $153,828CA Maximum, $197,628Job Responsibilities Determines that project objectives are achievable.Provides guidance to engineering on producing complex risk and alternative analyses, studies and conceptual designs for presentation to project sponsor.Oversees and administrates EPC contracts in accordance with ESCWork Oversight CommitteeNegotiates third party contracts, in support of other departments when appropriate.Develops and champions company-wide best practices.Makes presentations to PG&E Officers as appropriate.Arbitrates and resolves conflicts within the project.Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced project managers.Qualifications Minimum:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience8 years of PG&E (9 years outside) experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or constructionActive Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationDesired:Electrical Engineering Degree for the Substation projects and Civil Engineering for Transmission line projectsKnowledge of and experience with electric substations, and transmission line projectsFluent in the use of Project Management tools and current company tools, such as SAP Financials and Work Management modules and Microsoft Project Scheduling Software
