Software Engineering Manager
Overview
As Software Engineering Manager, you’ll blend technical leadership with hands-on delivery to support business-critical legal applications. You will shape application strategy, improve system quality, and partner with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable solutions. You’ll oversee lifecycle activities across web, intranet, and enterprise apps, coordinating internal teams and vendors to meet quality and timing goals. This role offers impact through long-term product roadmaps and direct contribution to development and support when needed.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate business needs and technical requirements to define approaches for new or enhanced applicationsOversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support across the software lifecyclePartner with attorneys, managers, directors, and stakeholders to align technology with workflows and goalsCoordinate work from internal teams, external vendors, and software providers to ensure quality and timely deliveryDirect implementation efforts including QA, issue resolution, and production readinessEstablish data structures and integration approaches across enterprise systemsProvide senior technical guidance to the development team for complex design and integration challengesMaintain the technical direction and long-term roadmap for software productsContribute hands-on to development and support to move initiatives forward
