HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing / Food Processing industry in Kansas City, MO!Salary: $31.85/hrShift: 1st 7:00 am - 3:00 pm OR 3rd 11:00 pm - 7:00 am Overtime may be requiredLocation: Kansas City, MOJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair manufacturing and processing equipmentPerform routine and emergency maintenance tasks to minimize downtimeRepair and maintain mechanical, electrical, air, hydraulic, refrigeration, and boiler systemsDiagnose equipment malfunctions through inspection, testing, and troubleshootingDismantle machinery and replace worn or defective componentsPerform arc and heli-arc welding, brazing, and soldering as requiredRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manualsMeasure, cut, thread, and install air and hydraulic pipingModify and troubleshoot computer-controlled and automated equipmentTest equipment after repairs to ensure proper operationMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair workCollaborate with other departments to resolve technical issuesFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environmentEducation RequirementsHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical training or equivalent industrial maintenance experience (preferred)Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial manufacturing environmentsWelding experience required (arc and heli-arc)Extensive electrical experience with 3-phase wiring, electrical controls, and PLC troubleshootingFamiliarity with ammonia refrigeration systemsExperience working with boilers, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematicsProficient with hand tools, power tools, welders, and precision measuring instrumentsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyAbility to work in extreme temperatures and physically demanding environments
